ACL Festival 2012

THE BIGGEST OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVALS IN TOWN – AUSTIN CITY LIMITS FESTIVAL
The biggest outdoor music festival is coming up sooner than we know to Austin's own backyard - Zilker Park! We've got the artist you can't miss and the insider tips on taking this bull by the horns!

ACL for TWO Weekends?

ACL Fest could stretch to two weekends next year. C3 Presents, the company that produces ACL Fest and other big events nationwide, would also increase the money it donates each year to help improve Austin parks, including a yet-to-be-determined amount "in the millions" to help renovate and maintain Auditorium Shores, C3 partner Charlie Jones told the American-Statesman.

ACL Radio on iHeartRadio

We all know the big names, but how about discovering some new music? Listen to the Austin City Limits Festival radio station on iHeartRadio to discover some new (and old) artists that will be performing at this year's festival. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN.

ACL PASSES - SOLD OUT

Shortly after the line up was released, the last round of ACL passes went on sale and were quickly claimed! The Sunday Day-Passes were the last to go, which didn't last long. Although all the passes are sold out, you can still get a VIP, Platimun or Travel Package! It's a great line up and sure to be a great time!

ACL LOTTO REVEALS A FEW ARTIST

This year's line up will be announced May 22, but this past weekend ACL had the ACL Lotto and it looks like Two Door Cinema Club, Jack White, A-Trak, Black Lips, Bombay Bicycle Club, Esperanza Spalding, Punch Brothers, Delta Spirit, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Steve Earle, Quiet Company, and Gary Clark Jr. are a few CONFIRMED artist playing this year.

Venue Info

ACL Festival at Zilker Park

ACL Festival takes place on 46-acres in Zilker Park, the crown jewel of Austin’s public green spaces. It plays host not only to 130-plus artists from across the globe, but amazing local eats and wares, fun for the kiddos, green goings-on, and other cool activities to entertain you for three magical days.

Parking

There will be parking provided at the Palmer Events Center located at 900 Barton Springs Road, with entrances at Barton Springs Road and Riverside. For general information, please call (512)404-4500.

There is NO parking at the Festival site. Our friends at Capital Metro are providing FREE shuttle service to and from the centrally-located downtown location at Republic Square on 4th and Guadalupe, details above. Click Here for a map & listing of downtown parking garages.

Parking is strongly discouraged in surrounding neighborhoods. Respect the residents of the Zilker Park area! This is their home…not a parking lot, dumping site, or otherwise. In response to safety concerns from area residents, several nearby streets will be closed and parking will be restricted. In addition, the City of Rollingwood will have restricted parking and other traffic control measures in place during the Festival.

Ride the Shuttles

There is no parking at Zilker Park for the ACL Festival, so take the free shuttle instead – a short hop to the park! Board at Republic Square at the corner of 4th & Guadalupe streets and you’ll be dropped off at the Festival entrance on Barton Springs Road. When you’re finished rocking, hop back on for a return trip. The shuttles begin at Republic Square at 10AM and make their final return from the park at 11PM each day of the Festival. Click Here for Maps & Information.

Taxis

Taxis will be allowed convenient access to the entrance/exit, and will have a designated area for pick up and drop off.

Bicycles

We encourage all of our fans to use pedal power — by far the easiest way to get to the Festival! Bike racks are available at each of the Festival Entrance gates, with plenty of lighting. You must provide your own lock. If you need parts or repair, stop by the Mellow Johnny’s Bike Station at both entrances for fix-ups, locks, lights, tubes, or any other last minute advice or gear.

Scooters & Motorcycles

Scooter & Motorcycle parking is available off Robert E. Lee in the Barton Springs Pool parking lot.

Passenger Drop Off

The passenger drop-off area is at the north end of the Mopac (Loop 1) Pedestrian Bridge on Stephen F. Austin Drive next to Austin High School. The pedestrian footbridge runs underneath Mopac. This is the closest drop point to the Festival grounds. It is a short walk across the footbridge. Access the drop off point by entering Stephen F. Austin Drive, near Austin High, from the East. This is the only official drop off point. It’s quick and easy. For safety reasons, please don’t attempt to drop off passengers at other areas near the park.

Note: There is no official festival parking at Austin High School or on Stephen F. Austin Drive. It is a short walk across the footbridge to the festival portal at The Town Lake Entrance. Please note that Stephen F. Austin Drive will be closed to thru-traffic (other than those dropping off festival goers) during the Festival from about 9am to Midnight. Access to Austin High parking lots will be limited to those attending Austin High events. Also, there is NOT pick-up and drop-off being allowed on the Access Road of Mopac and the Barton Springs Road/Robert E. Lee area. Persons may be ticketed.
