Monday is going to be somewhat surreal.  Anne and I debut our new morning show on KVET, Roger Creager swings by the station for a lunchtime set, and then in the early evening, the Amberlyn Fett Memorial Concert goes down at Midnight Rodeo!

The lineup is amazing, the extras that come with the VIP tickets even more so, and more details on that are HERE.  But I find myself this morning (and dang, it's early!) thinking about an afternoon I got to spend with Ryan Beaver, Brandon Rhyder and Josh Abbott, who were recruited by Amberlyn and Amber's Angels to play a short little afternoon acoustic set as part of a party thrown for a bunch of the kids at Dell Children's Medical Center (see the video below).  As is the case just about every time we do something at Dell, after the party I had to sit in my car for a minute and collect myself before I drove out of there...the emotions are so high and the work so important in that place.  We hope you'll come out on Monday night and help make Amber's Angels into Amberlyn's permanent mark upon the world.

Starting this MLK Monday morning, my good friend Anne Hudson and myself will be taking over the KVET morning show!  We are both excited at the challenge and the opportunity.  We are also both looking forward to being able to drink beer at 11am on a Tuesday and be perfecly justified in doing so.

Roadhouse will be continuing under my programming guidance as well...Texas Music is very close to my heart and to Anne's too, so we hope all you Texas/Red Dirt fanatics will tune in and give us a big ol' boost as we hit the gas!  Thanks to YOU for your support, and I hope you'll tune in on Monday morning as we begin a brand-new day here at KVET!
